AJ vs Fury Announcement Imminent
Boxing Promoter, Frank Warren has confirmed an agreement for a two part fight between his ward Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua for the unified world champion has been reached.
Warren made this revelation on Thursday while talking to Jim Whyte and Simon Jordan on TalkSPort on the heels of news that Oleksander Usyk might be insisting on a date with Anthony Joshua as the WBO mandatory challenger especially with the delay in the announcement of a unification bout between Fury and Joshua.
But Warren played down those suggestions and insisted that an announcement is imminent'.
Warren told Whyte and Jordan, “We’ve all agreed to announce any news simultaneously, so I can’t break a confidence I’ve agreed to,”
“But what I can say is that everything is agreed, it’s an imminent announcement and we’ve got to work on a site, and that’s it.
“It’s absolutely moving in the right direction and everybody is on the same page.
“Nobody is more frustrated than the fighters and us, we’ve worked like you cannot believe to get this over the line.
“The contracts are agreed and they will be signed, 100 per cent, I’m confident of that.”
The fight is touted to become the richest fight in world boxing history with both fighters likely earning in the region of $100million each.
Tyson Fury holds the WBC and Ring Magazine world heavyweight titles while Anthony Joshua holds the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO world heavyweight titles.
