French Open: Nadal beats Djokovic, books semifinal date with Zverev
Rafael Nadal has advanced to the semifinals of the 2022 French Open following an enthralling night in Paris, with the "King of Clay" fighting off defending champion, Novak Djokovic to win 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-6 (7-4). It was the 59th time the two Tennis greats would renew hostilities and Nadal, who was on course for a 14th title, started audaciously before eventually sealing the win after four sets. Nadal, who also won the 2022 Australian Open in January, secured victory at 1:16am local time after over four hours on court, now faces third seed Alexander Zverev on Friday. Germany's Zverev, 25, reached the semi-finals for the second successive year after surviving teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz's fightback earlier on Tuesday.
