Full results of today’s World Cup 2022 draw

England have been drawn against USA, Iran, and the winners of the European play-off between Wales and Scotland or Ukraine in Group B at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Gareth Southgate’s side will kick-off their World Cup campaign against Iran on November 21 before facing the United States in their second game on November 25.
It is not yet known when the group will be completed, with Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine preventing FIFA from establishing a date for their play-off match against Scotland.
The winners of that tie will then clash with Wales for a place in Qatar, whose staging of the World Cup finals has proven controversial for the reasons examined in this article.
The tournament’s opening game will see Qatar face Ecuador in Al Khor on November 21.
Group E has pitted two former world champions Spain and Germany against each other, while Belgium take on fellow 2018 World Cup semi-finalists Croatia in Group F.
Reigning champions France are meanwhile in Group D and take on Denmark, Tunisia and the winner of intercontinental play-off one, which will be one of Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Peru.
Kick-off times and venues for the remaining group-stage matches are yet to be decided.
