NBA: Lebron becomes 1st player to get 10k points, assists, rebounds

LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to reach 10,000 points, rebounds and assists respectively during the Lakers' 140-111 loss to the Suns on Sunday.

James recorded his 10,000th assist during the second quarter in a cross-court pass to Carmelo Anthony for an open 3-pointer.

Thirty-eight players in NBA history have 10,000 points and 10,000 rebounds. Of those players, the closest to 10,000 assists are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (5,660) and Kevin Garnett (5,445).

In February, James became the third player in NBA history to score 35,000 career regular-season points. James became the youngest player, and the second-fastest (behind Wilt Chamberlain), to cross the 30,000-point mark in 2018.

According to Jovan Buha, Lakers beat writer: It's another record-book achievement in a career full of them for James. But at this point, James is only competing with Michael Jordan and perhaps Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for GOAT status. Championships, Finals MVPs and MVPs are all that will truly affect his legacy.

This is certainly impressive — and puts him in the 30K-10K-10K Club — but James is at the point of his career in which his legacy will be defined by his greatest achievements and this isn't quite at that level.
