Net's Durant fit to face Miami Heats on Thursday

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant will make his return from a sprained left knee in Brooklyn's Thursday night matchup against the Miami Heat, the team announced. Durant was not listed on the Nets' injury report Wednesday.

Durant, 33, suffered a sprained medial collateral in his left knee in Brooklyn's 120-105 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Jan. 15. He was expected to return to full strength following a period of rehab, despite having had a prior injury to his left knee.

The Nets have struggled in Durant's absence, going just 5-16 since the 12-time All-Star has been sidelined. Prior to his injury, Durant boasted averages of 29.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists on the season.

Brooklyn (32-31) currently sits at eighth in the Eastern Conference heading into Thursday's contest against Miami (41-21), the No. 1 seed in the East.
