Nigeria's defence marshals joins French side, Stade De Reims
Nigeria's defence duo of Rofiat Imuran and Tosin Demehin have joined French clubside, Stade De Reims from Rivers Angels, thejosephfaulkner.com reports.
The Super Falcons defenders, who finished in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica in August were announced on the same day by the French side.
Amandine Miquel, a French football manager who saw the pair in action against France during their World Cup group stage opener last August, described Imuran as a very interesting defender whose arrival in Reims team is of immense benefit.
“Very fast, solid defensively, able to project forward…”!
“Beyond being very fast, Rofiat also has a very interesting defensive palette, especially in one-on-one duels. Her arrival is beneficial for the team and our defensive sector.
Imuran said, ‘Playing for the national team is a source of pride! I now turn to my performances with the Stade de Reims. Working, progressing and helping the team to aim even higher: these are my main objectives as I arrived here”
Imuran played for Sure Babes FC of Ilorin, Sunshine Queens, before moving to Rivers Angels in 2020, just as Demehin also featured for Sunshine Queens before teaming up with Rivers Angels.
