NPFL: Abia Warrior gets new head coach

Abia Warriors have announced the appointment of former Niger Tornadoes head coach, Erasmus Onu as the club's new head coach ahead of the 2022-2023 NPFL season.

The experienced tactician takes charge of the Umuahia- based club following the departure of Imama Amapakabo at the end of the 2021/22 season.

The club's management on Tuesday announced Erasmus Onu as the new head coach on a 2-year deal.

"Abia Warriors Football Club is delighted to welcome Erasmus Onu as new Head Coach.

"He joins on a two-year contract", reads a tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The coach arrives with a rich resume, having handled ABS, Jigawa Golden Stars, Sunshine Stars and Niger Tornadoes.
