Premier League: Another Super Eagles star joins Awoniyi at Notthingham Forest
Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis has joined his countryman, Taiwo Awoniyi at Nottingham Forest for a fee in the region of £20million from Watford.
Personal terms have already been agreed between Nottingham Forest and the 24-year old Nigerian attacker, whose 10 goals weren't enough to keep the Hornets in the Premier League last season.
Nottingham Forest will be paying an initial fee of €17m and they are now finalising the details of the final deal with Watford.
According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Watford have also managed to convince Nottingham Forest to include a sell-on clause as part of the deal as well.
The transfer puts Dennis in the position to vie for a starting role Super Eagles team-mate Taiwo Awoniyi, who joined Nottingham Forest from Union Berlin earlier in the summer on a five-year deal, for a club record for Forest, reportedly £17 million.
Awoniyi made his debut in Sunday’s opening day 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park, coming in as a 63rd minute replacement for Samuel William. Surridge.
