Suns beat Warriors to secure 17th consecutive win
The Phoenix Suns secured a 104-96 victory against the Warriors on Tuesday to tie its franchise record with its 17th consecutive win to improve their season record to 18-3.
Suns All-Star Devin Booker was ruled for the second half with a left hamstring injury. Booker left the game with 5:59 remaining in the first half, exiting with 10 points, two rebounds and an assist.
Phoenix had four starters in double digits. Deandre Ayton logged 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Chris Paul had 15 points and 11 assists.
Jordan Poole led the Warriors in scoring with 26 points to go with five rebounds. Stephen Curry had the worst shooting game of his career when attempting 20 or more shots, as he went 4 of 21. Draymond Green racked up 11 rebounds.
The Warriors dropped to 18-3, tied with Phoenix for the best record in the NBA. The Warriors' 43-game streak of scoring at least 100 points was snapped in the loss.
