Super Eagles coach confirms three changes to his lineup for Cameroon friendly

The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr has provided some team updates ahead of the friendly clash with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt on Tuesday.

The starting lineup for the first friendly on Friday did not bring any surprises but injuries suffered by William Troost-Ekong and Jamilu Collins in the defeat prompted Gernot Rohr to make required changes.

Speaking after a training session, Rohr said: “There will be some changes in the team, Francis Uzoho will be in goal, [Ahmed] Musa will start because he is fit, and we lost [William] Troost-Ekong so Valentine [Ozornwafor] will come in for the first time.”

The German tactician also implied that a natural winger may have to play in the full-back position. He said: “We have Moses Simon who can play full-back, he did it very well in the training session and [Abraham] Marcus who normally is a winger but had to play left-back and did well”

Nigeria would be hoping to secure revenge against Cameroon in Tuesday’s encounter. The Super Eagles are scheduled to play Mexico in the United States on the 4th of July.
