Winners of CAF Champions League, Confederations Cup to get higher cash prizes

Winners of African Interclub competitions, CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup, will now get higher cash prizes after CAF announced increments for the competitions.

According to an update from the CAF headquarters in CaIro, Egypt, the new winner of the Champions League will now earn $17.6million while the winner of the Confederation Cup will get $9.9 million.

The previous winner of the Champions League, Wydad Casablanca earned $12.5 million while RS Berkane, reigning champions of the Confederation Cup went home with $6.375 million.
